The US....

I seriously cannot wait to get the fuck out of this fucking place.

Graduation ceremony is on May 16th.

I never plan on returning to Juniata College after that day

As a matter of fact, I finish student teaching May 1st and I think I'll go home for those 2 weeks in between to work.

I cannot wait to be the fuck out of here... and shortly after that... out of this country.

Married to my amazing fiance, with a job teaching in Mexico, having babies, and forgetting all about these fucked up days that I've had to spend in this fucked up country.

My last week in Mexico....

That`s pretty much how I feel right now.

It`s rather difficult to describe my feelings at this point in time.

Today was my last day of class. The four of us that are left from our group of foreigners are going out with out director shortly for one last hoorah. I have decided not to say goodbye to my friends. I`ve just been saying "Nos vemos al rato" which is another way of saying "We`ll see eachother soon".

Gary couldn`t be any more amazing right now. He has really helped me a lot and I don`t know what I`d do without him.

I`ll see everyone soon I guess........

Only one month left....

So this past weekend was AMAZING. I went with Gary and 4 of his friends to Tampico in the state of Tamaulipas. The city is right on the other side of the border between my state of Veracruz and the state of Tamaulipas. It was a 7 hour bike ride.... needless to say, my rear end was in a little bit of pain by the end of it all hahaha. In a car the ride would be close to around 10 hours. We left Friday morning and got home Sunday night. There were a ton of motorcycles and we met up with numerous other people that we knew once we were there. It was really cool. I loved it. I posted pictures of the trip so that you all can see.

In other news, the rest of foreigners left this past week. There are only a few of us left. Through out these next 4 weeks there will be random summer groups coming in and out for a week or so at a time, but I rarely spend time with any of them. I prefer to hang out with only Mexicans.... hahaha, that sounds a little biast but hey, I don`t wanna talk in English while down here, what can I say?

Other than that though, things are the same as always. Nice and comphy in my routine with no desire to change.

I`ll be home in 27 days. Can you believe it???

What`s new?

Well not too much is new out my way. Classes are the same.... well, pretty much everything is the same in my routine... and I love it! I`ve gone to a few more motor cycle events which have been very fun. Also, going to these events provides me with opportunities to see new places and visit nearby towns that I probably never would have visited if it weren`t for the motor cycle events.

My BCA group of foreign students is going a trip this weekend to see some ruins at a place called Tajin. I went last semester with the group and have decided to not attend this time. I weighed my options and would rather stay here in Xalapa and celebrate Mother`s day with my host mother on Saturday, along with be able to call my own mom on Sunday (I wouldn`t have signal in Tajin to do it on Sunday).

So that`s what`s new for now. Just trying to enjoy these last 2 months that I have left. Weird to think that a year is almost over.... wow....

Talk to everyone soon! (PS- I put up a couple pictures)

Please don`t be angry!!

Well... a good bit of time has passed since I last updated, I`m sorry guys, I`ve just been keeping really busy. But OK... let`s get one thing out of the way first.... On Feb 29th, 2008... I got a tattoo. The picture is up on the photos. I added about 50 photos or so, enjoy. I went on vacation last week to the southern most state of Mexico called Chiapas, it`s right next to Guatamala which is cool. We went horse back riding for 4 hours one day... that was amazing! And we also saw some Mayan ruins while we were there, but I honestly just didn`t care for Chiapas too much so there are few pictures from there.

My classes are going well, I only have 3 now that my Spanish course is done, which by the way I got an A+ in!! I`ve just been hanging out a lot with friends and trying to take advantage of every moment.

As you might all remember last semester I was hanging out a lot with the proffesional basketball team down here. Well, the season ended about a month ago. We went to the National Championship.... AND WON!!! It was amazing, also amazing due to the fact that I got into all the games for free. However, all the team members (all but 3) have gone back to their homes and are no longer here in Xalapa, I miss them and I miss the season. It was great!!

I`ve gone to the beach numerous times now, the weather is beautiful and HOT! I actually went to the beach at night this past weekend with a friend of mine and we got to sit in the convertible with the top down staring out into the ocean watching the waves come in and all the stars in the sky.... yeah, it was beautiful!

This weekend I`m going to the port city of Veracruz which is about an hour away. Well... 40 minutes because I`ll be going on a motorcycle. There`s gonna be a motorcycle ralley there and my friend invited me to go with him and some other friends. I`m really excited, I love bikes! And Dad, RELAX!!! My friend doesn`t allow me on the bike without a helmet and if we go on long trips he makes me wear one of his really heavy protective jackets, he also makes me wear long pants and tennis shoes, no flip-flops. I`m being safe!! haha

But for right now, I actually gotta get going. I gotta get home in time for lunch. I hope everyone is doing well and I hope you all enjoy the pictures that I posted! Forgive me once more for the delay and hey..... Where are my emails???? Send me some.

<3 Amy
